A NEW Gourmet Yorkshire Pudding Mix will be launched on Yorkshire Day.

Created by Yorkshire food brand Gordon Rhodes, the mix will be unveiled at Fodder at the Great Yorkshire Showground on August 1.

The dry mix only requires eggs and milk, making it simple for home cooks to whip up traditional Yorkshire puddings.

Jonathan Batchelar, brand manager for Gordon Rhodes, said: "Yorkshire puddings are an important part of our food heritage, so launching on Yorkshire Day feels particularly special.

"Gordon Rhodes’ Gourmet Yorkshire Pudding Mix has been made with love in Gord’s own county.

"You simply add eggs and milk, then bake, so you still get the enjoyment of making your own Yorkshire puddings at home."

The product, affectionately known as Gord’s Own Yorkshires, joins Gordon Rhodes’ existing range of gourmet cooking and stuffing mixes.

Its preparation is straightforward, but still allows home cooks to add fresh ingredients and enjoy the process of making Yorkshire puddings from scratch.

Visitors to Fodder between 4pm and 8pm on 1st August will be able to sample the new product and meet the Gordon Rhodes team.

The product will be available to purchase online from August 3 via the Gordon Rhodes website.

It will also be stocked by selected fine food retailers in the near future.
