As spring gives way to summer, residents across Czajka Care Group's Brookfield Care Home in Nab Wood have been making the most of the season through a programme of activities, celebrations and outings designed to enrich everyday life.

One of the highlights was a much-anticipated day trip to Blackpool, where residents enjoyed the sights, sounds and nostalgia of the popular seaside destination. Back at the home, there has been no shortage of reasons to celebrate. Residents Molly, John, Elizabeth and Mavis have all marked special birthdays surrounded by fellow residents, relatives and dedicated members of the team.
Residents also benefit from being part of the wider Fairmount Park community in Nab Wood. The unique "care village" environment brings together care, retirement living and leisure facilities, helping residents maintain connections and enjoy a varied lifestyle.

As Father's Day approaches, The Clubhouse at Fairmount Park is extending a warm invitation to families to come together and celebrate. A special Father's Day lunch will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, featuring a traditional menu with starters including Parma ham and melon or prawn cocktail, followed by a choice of sirloin of beef or pork loin served with seasonal vegetables, cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Desserts include apple crumble with custard or ice cream, or strawberries and cream.
