A WOMAN is fighting for her life after a collision involving a van on a Bradford estate.
West Yorkshire Police was called at 6.58pm on Tuesday evening to Denbury Mount, Holme Wood to reports of a serious road traffic collision.
A Ford Transit van had been in collision with a pedestrian whilst reversing, the force said.
Police say the 58-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and no arrests have been made, the force has also confirmed.
West Yorkshire Police has issued an appeal for more information.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have seen the Ford Transit prior to the collision.
'Our thoughts are with the woman'
The Telegraph & Argus contacted the newly-elected councillors in the area for a comment on the incident.
On behalf of the councillors for the Holme Wood and Bierley ward (Cllr Celia Hickson (Green) and Cllr Iain McInnes (Green)), Councillor Matt Edwards (Green) said : "Our thoughts are with the woman and her loved ones.
“We would urge anyone that saw what happened to contact police to help them understand what has happened."
