A HUGE pile of cardboard boxes that had once stored EV charging equipment have been dumped in a Bradford Council car park.
The boxes appeared in the Orange Street car park, off Leeds Road, earlier this week, and were still present on Friday.
The boxes have images on them showing that they had contained parts relating to electric car charging.
The Telegraph & Argus asked Bradford Council when the fly-tipping would be removed.
A spokesman said: “Fly-tipping is an unnecessary blight on our communities, and we are committed to tackling it wherever it occurs.
“We were made aware of the fly-tipping incident today. If the waste is confirmed to be on Council land, arrangements will be made for its removal. Environmental Enforcement Officers will examine the waste for evidence, after which it will be referred to Cleansing for clearance.
“Our Environmental Enforcement Officers continue to investigate fly-tipping and take action whenever offenders can be identified.
“We use a range of measures to crack down on fly-tippers, including the use of cameras to deter offenders, capture vital evidence, and prevent further incidents.
“If anyone witnesses or suspects fly-tipping—which is a criminal offence—we urge them to report it to us at www.bradford.gov.uk/flytipping or by calling 01274 432111.”
