Cleckheaton RHA wins SME Business and Trade awards

A trade association in Cleckheaton has been recognised for its impact in championing the road transport sector.

The Road Haulage Association (RHA) was named SME Business and Trade Association of the Year at the SME4Labour Excellence Awards 2025, held in London on Tuesday, November 4.

The awards celebrate organisations and individuals making a positive difference through their work.s

Richard Smith, managing director of the RHA, said: "This award recognises our effective stakeholder engagement and the collaborative way we work with partners, members, and decision-makers to champion the haulage, logistics, coach, and van sectors.

"It’s always pleasing to see my colleagues recognised for their efforts and the impact they make through strong relationships and shared purpose."

He also thanked supporters and voters, emphasising the collective effort that contributed to the win.

The award coincides with the RHA’s eleventh National Lorry Week, running from November 3 to 9.
