A new non-executive director has been appointed at Yorkshire Building Society.
The Bradford-headquartered building society confirmed that Janet Pope will join its board at the end of the month.
Ms Pope has more than 30 years' experience in financial services, and currently sits on the board of the debt charity StepChange, and is chairwoman of the Charities Aid Foundation Bank.
She has previously worked for Lloyds Banking Group, Alliance Trust Savings, Visa International, and Standard Chartered.
Ms Pope said: "I’m looking forward to joining the board at Yorkshire Building Society, an organisation which has a strong social purpose, and is committed to delivering long-term value for its members and communities."
Annemarie Durbin, chairwoman of Yorkshire Building Society, said: "The society and our members will benefit from the insight she brings."
