POLICE are investigating after a man was "taken ill" following an "altercation" between a group of people in Bradford city centre.
Officers were called to Sunbridge Road shortly before 4pm yesterday.
A police cordon is currently in place outside the Tesco Express store.
According to West Yorkshire Police, a 40-year-old man was "taken ill" at the scene.
He was taken to hospital.
A 58-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.
She remains in police custody.
Police said enquiries were ongoing to "establish the full circumstances of the altercation".

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating after an altercation between a group of people on Sunbridge Road, Bradford.
"Officers were called at 3.55pm yesterday.
"A 40-year-old man was taken ill at the scene.
"He's been taken to hospital.
"A 58-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
"Enquiries are ongoing by Bradford CID to establish the full circumstances of the altercation.
