POLICE have revealed why they seized two cars in Bradford.
One of the vehicles was taken away from Eversley Drive, Holme Wood, as the "driver was a provisional licence holder," according to a West Yorkshire Police spokesperson.
A provisional licence enables someone to drive everywhere, except on motorways, as long as they are supervised by a suitable person
The force spokesperson added: "The second vehicle was seized after the driver tried to evade officers, eventually stopping on Lastingham Green, Buttershaw.
"The driver then handed officers his keys and openly stated that he had no driving licence and no insurance."
Driving without a valid licence is an offence.
It is also illegal to drive a vehicle on a road or in a public place without at least third-party insurance.
The police spokesperson said both drivers "were reported for summons and will have their days in court".
