Yorkshire's first night time economy conference will take place next month.

City leaders, business owners, and industry experts will gather to discuss Bradford's night, evening, and leisure economy.

Hosted by Bradford at Night and the Night Time Industries Association, the event will take place at the Midland Hotel in Bradford on September 18, from 1pm onwards.

Speakers will include Sacha Lord, NTE Advisor for Greater Manchester, Michael Kill, CEO at NTIA, and Doug McClean, CEO of Tiffin Group.

Bradford-based businesses will discuss the challenges they face, and representatives from neighbouring cities will share their own perspectives.

The event is designed to give attendees the chance to engage with industry experts in panel discussions about the pressing issues facing the night-time economy, with topics including strategies for growth, navigating regulatory challenges, and harnessing new trends to boost business.

Bradford at Night managing director, Elizabeth Murphy, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to be putting Yorkshire’s night and evening economy centre stage, especially in Bradford.

"Because the city’s night scene is certainly not picture perfect, it has some major challenges to tackle and some huge steps to take.

"To bring industry experts both nationally and across the region to a city trying to build itself from decades of economic decline brings not only a spotlight to the support needed but a call to action for leaders that have failed to acknowledge a night time trade exists, by ignoring decade-long issues or providing inadequate support for independent businesses fighting to survive in a struggling economy."

The full programme for the conference will be released in the coming weeks.

Attendance is free and spaces are limited.
