BRADFORD-based retail giant Morrisons has announced it is extending its partnership with delivery firm Deliveroo to 500 of its convenience stores.
Bosses said it means customers will be able to order groceries from more Morrisons Daily shops and have them delivered to their door by Deliveroo in under 30 minutes.
Customers will be able to order from 2,500 items for the on-demand delivery.
Morrisons has been working with Deliveroo since the height of the Covid pandemic in April 2020 and the service is already available in around 390 supermarkets.
Joseph Sutton, convenience, online and wholesale director for Morrisons, said: "Our partnership with Deliveroo has gone from strength to strength since we first started working together in 2020.
"Customers tell us how important rapid delivery services are to them and so we're delighted to be extending the Deliveroo service and making it available from 500 of our Morrisons Daily stores."
Suzy McClintock, vice president of grocery and retail at Deliveroo, said: "We're excited to expand our partnership with Morrisons to 500 Morrisons Daily stores.
"We've been proud to partner with Morrisons since 2020 and our customers love the convenience of getting fresh groceries delivered to their door on demand, and this extension means even more people across the UK can enjoy that service.
"We are thrilled to continue bringing more of Morrisons' fantastic range straight to our customers' homes, including price matching to in-store prices on some of the most popular items, making everyday life a little easier."
A Morrisons spokesperson said its Daily convenience stores are an "important and strongly growing channel" for the company.
They added: "Morrisons Daily convenience stores are located at fuel forecourts and other convenient and busy locations around the country.
"The Morrisons Daily offer includes a core convenience range, fresh food to go and selected elements of Morrisons popular Market Street fresh food, much of which is made and prepared at Morrisons own food making operations."
Morrisons has around 1,600 Morrisons Daily convenience shops across the UK. Around 600 of them are franchise stores.
Founded by William Morrison in 1899, Morrisons started out as an egg and butter stall in Bradford's Rawson Market.
The company's website states it went from a Bradford market stall to become "the UK's fourth largest supermarket chain".
Morrisons has a network of 497 supermarkets based across the UK.
