THE Telegraph & Argus Retail, Leisure and Hospitality Awards are back for 2024, in partnership with The Broadway and Bradford BID.
The glitzy award evening will be held in The Broadway shopping centre on Sunday, November 10.
With a special appearance from the amazing Ellie Sax and a surprise performance from an act you’re sure to have seen on television, it will be a night not to be missed.
The ceremony will be followed by an afterparty at Bradford’s Nightrain.
Nominations, which can be made by following this link, close on September 27.
Ian Ward, general manager of The Broadway, said: 'These awards are unique in that they take place right in the heart of The Broadway, under the dazzling Christmas lights, creating a backdrop like no other.
“We have a range of categories that cover all sectors, ensuring that every corner of our vibrant retail, leisure, and hospitality community is celebrated.
"As Bradford prepares for the City of Culture 2025 and other exciting projects, it's wonderful to recognize the hard work and achievements of the people and venues that make the Bradford district so special."
The awards categories
Hospitality Venue of The Year: This award is for the best restaurant and/or bar in the district. Do you offer great service, keep the offer fresh, work to keep customers coming back, and create a great place to visit? Whether it’s the food, the drink the entertainment, or all of these, what makes your venue the place to visit? Sponsored by Mitie
Retailer of The Year: This award will recognise any retailer, large or small, independent or national, that is making a big noise in the district. Branches of national companies should enter as a store. The judges will be looking for evidence of what sets you apart from the competition, either in terms of your achievements, best practice, customer feedback, and staff involvement. Beauty Salon of The Year: Do you offer a great experience in the hair, beauty, or cosmetic sector? Do you have happy customers who come back time and time again? Judges will be looking to find out what puts you ahead of the rest and why you are the best in the district. Sponsored by Schofield Sweeney
Hotel of The Year: Do you run a locally-based hotel or guest house of note? Do you offer a memorable experience with excellent service, positive customer feedback? We want to hear what makes you the best in the district. Sponsored by Bradford City
Customer Service Award: Do you or someone in your team go above and beyond to offer fantastic customer service? The judges are looking for clear evidence of customer service excellence. You may include reviews, feedback, testimonials, or any other evidence of the types of activity that puts a smile on your customers’ faces. Sponsored by Bradford BID
Leisure Venue of The Year: Where do we go for a great leisure experience that is deemed the best in the district? Whether it’s an attraction, a venue, or things to do, we want to know who offers the best leisure experience. Judges are looking for somewhere delivering a memorable experience of things to do, see, or try, that is worthy of being crowned the best in the district. Sponsored by National Science and Museum
Team of The Year: Teamwork is what makes any business a success. Do you work in a great team or do you have a great team in your company that you think deserves to be recognised? Judges are looking for how, as a group, you achieve the goals needed to run a successful retail, leisure or hospitality business in the district. Sponsored by The Broadway
New Business of the Year: Have you started a new business in the Bradford district within the past two years? If so, this award could be a great opportunity for you to highlight and celebrate your progress. Judges want to hear about your great idea, a solid plan, and how it's going in its first year. Rising Star Award: Who is going places in your business, showing signs of being a great employee, potential management material, or a top trainee?
