WITH the Paris Olympics in full flow, we thought readers would like this shot of Nick Hooker of Bradford Airedale Athletic Club (BAAC) as he attempts a jump closely watched by coach Ray Walker, back in 2006.
BAAC started life in 1880 as Airedale Harriers.
Training sessions take place at Horsfall Community Stadium in Low Moor, with track, field and juniors meeting there. Organised road and trail runs also take place.
As the club’s website states, it is ‘a community-oriented athletics club operating at all levels and across all disciplines, for people of all ages and abilities.’
