A BRADFORD job centre remains closed more than two months after flash flooding struck the city.
Eastbrook Court Jobcentre on Vicar Lane was shut to jobseekers after heavy rain hit the city centre and other parts of the Bradford district during the early-May Bank Holiday Monday.
Images emerged of flooded roads, with the worst-hit streets including Vicar Lane in the city centre.
A source previously told the Telegraph & Argus that the job centre had been due to reopen early this month "if all goes to plan".
But the T&A has now learned that there is more damage in the building than initially anticipated.
It is now expected to reopen in the early-autumn.
A note on the job centre states: "Please note this job centre is closed due to unforeseen circumstances.
"Please attend Aldermanbury House for all appointments.
"Please contact us via your online account if you need to contact us or call us."
