There were delays on a major Bradford road this evening due to a blocked lane.
A police vehicle had come to rest in the inside lane of the eastbound Rooley Lane, just before the junction for the Asda supermarket.
The stricken BMW had a badly-damaged front right wheel.
At one point, traffic was queuing right back to the Staygate roundabout. Another police patrol car could be seen directing vehicles into the middle and right-hand lanes.
Shortly after 5.45pm, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said the vehicle was being recovered and injuries were not confirmed at that point.
The incident was reported at 5.01pm, said police.
As of 6.15pm, the road was clear and traffic was returning to normal.
