OAKWELL Country Park is gearing up to host a day-long and free-to-attend celebration of Yorkshire on August 4.
From 11am to 4pm, a variety of family-friendly events are scheduled including live musical performances, a Yorkshire Makers Market, workshops and food and drink stalls.
Visitors will be treated to musical acts throughout the day, beginning at 11am with duo JimDam and followed by acoustic country band Western Hope.
Other acts at the country park, in Birstall, include the Psychoslinkys and Taylor Swift tribute act Lauren G.
The Yorkshire market will have over 50 stalls featuring goods including hand-crafted jewellery, natural toiletries and home-baked treats.
Keen bakers are invited to enter a Yorkshire-themed Cake Off competition.
Free family entertainments include a mini farm, bushcraft activities and a rodeo sheep.
For a small fee, face painting, face glitter and henna art will also be available.
Various food and drink vendors will be on-site, and the Yorkshire Dialect Society will be present to share their expertise in the richness of Yorkshire dialects.
Kirklees councillor Yusra Hussain said: "I’m delighted that one of our most loved venues will play host to a fantastic, free event celebrating our wonderful county."
