A BRADFORD district man has been charged with offences including the possession of a bladed article and assault.
The charges relate to alleged incidents on July 7 and July 8.
A police cordon was in place in the town's market square earlier this week.
41-year-old Richard Braithwaite, of Manor Lane in Shipley, was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court today.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Richard Braithwaite, aged 41, of Manor Lane, Shipley, has been charged with assault with intent to cause GBH, possession of a bladed article in a public place and theft on July 7 and possession of a bladed article in a public place on July 8.
"He has been remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Magistrates' Court today (July 10)."
