THE rider of a sit-on electric scooter reportedly tried to evade police in Bradford.
The vehicle was be ridden on the road and pavement on Mill Lane in Broomfield - located east in the city.
West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Team said the individual attempted to avoid officers before being detained.
It turned out the rider only held a provisional licence.
The sit-on electric scooter was seized and the individual was reported.
A post of the Steerside Team's X account read: "This sit-on electric scooter was being ridden on the road and pavement on Mill Lane @WYP_BradfordE
"Rider tried to evade our officers but was detained.
"Rider was a provisional licence holder."
Operation Steerside has been dedicated to tackling dangerous and anti-social driving in Bradford since 2016.
