ORGANISERS of a family fun day have teamed up with a children’s charity.
Local craft brewery Amity Brew Co is bringing its beer, food and live music festival back to Sunnybank Mills in Farsley. AmityFest drew over 3,000 visitors last year and returns to the Weavers Yard from July 5-7.
Partnering with The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, Amity is dedicating Sunday, July 7 to a family fun day, with activities including face painting, bouncy castle, children’s craft tent and dressing-up box.
Established in 2011 by Mike Davies, The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, in Skipton, provides free respite breaks to children with disabilities or life-limiting conditions or have experienced poverty, trauma or abuse.
Says Mike: “We’re thrilled to partner with Amity Brew Co for the craft beer festival. We’ll be collecting donations on the day and have a raffle with local prizes. The Trust’s 100per cent donation policy means every penny raised will fund holidays for dozens of children and their families.”
The festival also includes a beer tent showcasing local breweries, as well as gin, cider and street food. Amity Director Rich Degnan says: “We wanted to partner with a charity that added value to our festival offering, but also supported children.
"From our baby change with free products to parking and access, we pride ourselves on being a place to feel welcomed with kids.”
