A programme of overnight works is set to get underway in Bradford tonight as part of the major city centre ravamp.
The works, part of the Walking and Cycling Improvements Scheme, are expected to last for about two weeks.
Project bosses say noise will be kept to a minimum, while some diversions will be in place.
A spokesperson for the project said: "Starting Monday 17 June, some overnight works will be taking place in the city centre and will last for around two weeks, with an anticipated completion date of Monday 1 July.
"The works will involve resurfacing and painting road markings at Sunbridge Road, Godwin Street and Prince's Way, and will take place between 8pm and 5am. Where possible, noise will be kept to a minimum.
"There will need to be some localised diversions in place while works are being carried out to ensure the safety of our workers, so please refer to the road signs in place across the city centre."
Meanwhile, work has been progressing on the demolition of the former NCP car park in Hall Ings to facilitate better access to the currently-closed Bradford Interchange.
The spokesperson said: "The remaining sections the former NCP car park started to come down this week.
"Large machines are currently working their way through the lower levels of the structure as part of the next stage of the demolition process. Water is being sprayed as the machines demolish the remaining levels to help prevent the spread of dust.
"The demolition is currently on track to be completed on schedule and disturbance will be kept to a minimum as it enters its final stages.
"The works to demolish the former NCP car park will create a new green space, linking to Hall Ings and Norfolk Gardens.
Meanwhile, repair works are set to start in Vicar Lane after a strom caused severe damage.
The spokesperson said: "Repair works on Vicar Lane will start this week following damage caused to the road surfaces in storms that occurred last month.
"Before repair works start, damaged sections of the road surfaces will be removed, and the area beneath will be checked for any additional damage caused by the bad weather.
"Starting on Monday 17 June, it is estimated that the repairs will take 10 working days to complete.
"Bus services will continue on their current routes during the repair works, but may be subject to short delays as the site team safely carry out the repairs."
