POLICE were called to reports of an assault in Bradford - which left the victim with serious injuries - in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The incident happened on Haworth Road at around 1.18am today (Tuesday, May 28).
West Yorkshire Police attended the scene but the victim, a 28-year-old man, had left the area.
He later presented himself in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries to his hand.
A scene is in place - blocking entry to a section of Haworth Lane both ways - as enquiries by Bradford CID continue.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 1.18 this morning officers were called to reports of an assault on Haworth Road, Bradford.
"On arrival, the victim had left the scene, he later presented himself in hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries to his hand.
"A scene is on whilst enquiries are ongoing by Bradford CID.
