Emergency services rushed to reports of a fire at a building in the Fairweather Green area of Bradford today.

West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service sent five crews to a property on Thornton Road, between Bellshaw Street and Jesse Street, at around 4.40pm on Tuesday, May 21.

Firefighters from Fairweather Green, Shipley, Bradford, and Odsal are confirmed to be at the scene.

The fire investigation team has also been called to the incident.

The building was found to be 10 per cent involved in fire, according to the latest incident report.

It has now been brought under control - but a number of fire engines and emergency vehicles remain parked up outside the scene.

Crews have used six breathing apparatus and four hose reels.

West Yorkshire Police was called to the scene to assist the fire service with traffic management.
