POLICE have explained why there is a cordon in place on a key Bradford city centre street.
The police presence is at the junction of Croft Street and Nelson Street.
Several police officers and cars can be seen around the cordoned area.
One reader said: "There are loads of police and an ambulance."
The force has now told the Telegraph & Argus that a man suffered a medical episode.
Officers attended to provide medical assistance at around 10am this morning.
The man was taken to hospital via road ambulance for treatment.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Emergency services were called to Nelson Street, Bradford at about 10.01am today to a report of a man suffering a medical episode in the street.
"Police attended the incident to provide medical assistance.
"The man was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment."
