RESIDENTS reacted as armed police descended on a Bradford street yesterday (Friday).
A member of the public rang police when plain clothes police officers carried out an arrest operation on Southfield Road, Bradford.
West Yorkshire Police then sent armed officers to the area but the matter was determined to be a "false call with good intent".
"Armed officers attended at Southfield Road yesterday following a call from a member of the public.
"The matter was found to be a false call made with good intent.
"Plain clothes officers had conducted an earlier arrest operation at the location.
"For operational reasons we cannot disclose further information at this time."
