The Yorkshire division of national homebuilder Bellway has put up the 'sold out' signs at its St John’s View development in Menston.

The development comprises 133-homes and is within walking distance of both the village’s primary school and railway station.

Melanie Smith, Bellway Yorkshire’s sales director, said: “Demand for homes at St John’s View was high from the moment we announced the development – and when you look at it, it’s easy to understand why.

"There was something for everyone; from those looking to upsize, downsize or take their first step onto the property ladder; while Menston itself is a perfectly charming Yorkshire village, but without the remoteness of those found out in the Dales.”

Bellway funded £1.4 million of road safety improvements in Menston during the build process. This included the replacement of old road signs, footpath improvement, road resurfacing and the implementation of speed plateaus.

“It’s great to know that our funding enabled important local projects like these to come to fruition,” added Melanie. “By improving signage, footpaths and road surfaces, and introducing new speed reduction measures, we really have helped to improve the community for residents both new and old.”
