A YOUNG girl who died in a Bradford house fire has been named.
The 10-year-old was sadly pronounced dead at the scene following the blaze at a property on Kingsdale Drive, just off Bolton Road, in the early hours of Sunday, May 5.
A woman, 37, and three children, aged 11, six, and two, managed to escape the property and were taken to hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service has confirmed the incident is being treated as accidental.
Muslim bereavement service Janaza Announcements has named the young girl as Eliza Bashir.
Her funeral will take place later today (6.45pm) at Jamiyat Tabligh-ul-Islam Bradford Central Mosque, with a burial at Scholemoor Cemetery.
The girl’s death has left the local community devastated.
When the Telegraph & Argus visited the property on Tuesday lunchtime, more floral tributes had been left.
One message from Kids Cottage Childminders read: "May there be comfort in knowing that someone so special will never be forgotten."
On Sunday, Detective Chief Inspector Zaheer Abbas, of Bradford District Police, said: “This is an absolutely tragic incident in which a young child has lost her life, our thoughts are with her family at this time."
