A MINI Cooper was seized because it had not been taxed for five months.
West Yorkshire Police's Steerside Enforcement Team - the force's dedicated initiative for tackling anti-social and dangerous driving - posted on its Facebook page this afternoon about a vehicle officers had stopped.
A silver Mini Cooper was brought to a halt by police on Halifax Road, in the Odsal area of Bradford.
Checks showed it had been without a valid Vehicle Excise Licence since December 2023.
A Vehicle Excise Licence, or Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), is an annual tax paid by owners of vehicles driven or kept on public roads.
Police seized the vehicle on behalf of the DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency), as a result.
