AN uninsured, speeding driver abandoned their vehicle after being spotted by police in the Bradford district.
Officers said they saw the vehicle "driving at speed" along Lee Lane in Bingley.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "It was located a short time later nearby - with no driver.
"The vehicle was seized for no insurance."
Speeding is the most common road traffic offence in the UK.
The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points added to your licence.
It is also illegal to drive a vehicle on a road or in a public place without at least third-party insurance.
Punishments for driving without insurance can include a substantial fine, points on your licence and even a disqualification from driving.
