A MAN has been arrested after police received a report of a woman being harassed in the Bradford district.

West Yorkshire Police said an "incident of harassment of a woman" was reported to the force on the afternoon of April 8. 

The victim was safe and with others, officers confirmed.

A 30-year-old man was arrested, interviewed and released on conditional bail. 

A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "Police received a report at 1.43pm on Monday, April 8, of an incident of harassment of a woman at Victoria Road, Saltaire.

"It was confirmed that the victim was safe and with others. 

"A 30-year-old man has been arrested, interviewed and released on conditional bail in relation to this investigation."

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is based on Victoria Road, Saltaire.

In response to the report, a spokesperson for the care trust said: "Like all NHS trusts, we have robust security measures in place across all our sites.

"While we cannot comment on individual cases, in all instances, any unauthorised or uninvited individuals who try to access our sites will be challenged and, if necessary, stopped by security and escorted off-site.

"We would also notify the police if required."
