A ROAD connecting Bradford city centre and the outskirts has reopened after a two-day closure.

Lumb Lane, which joins Manningham and the city centre, was shut from Monday until late on Wednesday afternoon.

This was due to Bradford Council roadworks.

The closure was in place between 8am and 4.30pm on each of those days.

First West Yorkshire has announced that the roadworks have now been "postponed" and that services are back to their "normal route".

The closure was affecting the company's 620 bus, which runs between Heaton and Bierley.

First West Yorkshire said it was diverting via Drewton Road, Manningham Lane, and Oak Lane, during the road closure.
