A special Eid gathering brought Palestinian families across Yorkshire together.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of fasting during the holy month of Ramadan.

The major holiday is a time of prayers, meals with loved ones, and conversation.

The Sisters of Shukr Bradford wanted to give people a space to come together despite of the sadness felt across the globe.

It was hoped the event would create a sense of community and solidarity during the significant occasion.

Guests enjoyed Palestinian cuisine, mocktails, desserts, freshly ground coffee, Palestinian tea, a fruit cart, candy floss, and more.

There will be children's entertainment, a bouncy castle, photo booth, and inspiring speeches from Palestinian families.

Traditional Palestinian themed attire has been listed as the dress code.

The event was sponsored by Penny Appeal, Saveco, Doves4occasions, Inspire Futures Foundation, Regal Bakery, Cakes and Curries, Star Coaches of Batley, and Tarfeeh Tourism and Events.

Organisers also handed out Eid gifts to young children.

One guest said: "In all the years I have been in this country, no one has planned an Eid event for the Palestinian community. I am so grateful."
