BRADFORD Council is introducing Experimental Traffic Regulations at school streets in the district. The regulations will prohibit the driving of vehicles within set time periods at:

* Horton Park Primary School, Dawnay Road, Bradford. The order will affect Dawnay Road from a point seven metres north of the projected northern kerb line of Tamar Street, to a point 48 metres west of the projected western kerb line of Powell Avenue, during 8.25-8.50am and 3-3.25pm, September 1 to July 31.

* St James, Chelwood Drive, Bradford, from a point 81 metres south of its junction with Bracewell Avenue, to a point three metres east of the projected eastern kerb line of Sandalwood Mews, between 8.30-9am and 3-3.30pm, September 1 to July 31.

The impact of the Experimental Orders will be monitored whilst in operation, allowing measures to be modified or removed, and are subject to exemptions including residents permit holders, emergency, service vehicles and Blue Badge Holders. Representations should be sent in writing to the Planning, Transportation & Highway Services, Assistant Director, 4th Floor, Britannia House, Hall Ings, Bradford, BD1 1HX or emailed to school.streets@bradford.gov.uk no later than 12 noon on October 14 stating the grounds on which it is made.

* Bradford Council has also announced the following temporary road closures:

* Douglas Crescent, Shipley, for gas works. The order affects Douglas Crescent from its junction with Hollin Lane to a point outside No. 20 Douglas Crescent. There will be no alternative routes for traffic but pedestrian access will be maintained. The order is from 8am on April 8 until 6pm on May 3.

* Cote Lane, Allerton, for water works . The order will affect Cote Lane from a point outside No. 8 to No. 10. Alternative routes for traffic will be available via Cote Lane (unaffected section), Allerton Road, Hill Top Lane and vice versa. The order is from 11.30am-3.30pm on April 9.

* An order introducing ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ on lengths of Fagley Road, Blackthorne Close and Foston Lane, Bradford comes into force on April 19.
