Police were called to a report of a disturbance in part of Bradford on Saturday night.
West Yorkshire Police received a late night call out to Great Horton Road at about 11.25pm.
It appeared two people had been assaulted, a police spokesperson said.
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
One local resident described seeing between five and six police vehicles and ambulances at the scene.
Great Horton Road was cleaned at around 4.30am, he said, after people were blocked from accessing the road.
