A BRADFORD man has been told to expect a “substantial” prison sentence after pleading guilty to conspiring to supply heroin and cocaine.
Faaris Zaman, 27, of Ashgrove, Great Horton, appeared via video link from HMP Leeds for a brief hearing at Bradford Crown Court.
He spoke only to confirm his name, and to enter three pleas.
He faces charges of conspiring with other persons unknown to supply Class A controlled drugs – heroin and cocaine - between March 27 and July 3, 2020, at Bradford, and to acquire, use, or possess criminal property, namely approximately £1.3m, also at Bradford.
His Honour Judge Jonathan Rose adjourned the case until May 22 for sentence.
He told Zaman: “Under no circumstances must you draw the conclusion that anything other than a substantial prison sentence will be imposed for this offending.
“The precise length of that sentence will be a matter for the judge on May 22.”
He remanded Zaman in custody until that date.
