A VACANT building next to one of the district’s busiest roads could be converted into flats if new plans are approved.

382 Canal Road is currently classed as an office building, but a new planning application seeks to change that use to residential.

The plans, submitted by Amaya Investments Ltd, would see the currently vacant building divided up into six one-bed and studio flats, ranging in size from 37 square metres to 44 square metres.

The building is located near Frizinghall Station, where Valley Road becomes Canal Road and on the main route between Bradford and Shipley.

A decision on the application is expected in May.
