A man who went out to celebrate his birthday woke up in a police cell the next morning.
Blackburn Magistrates' Court heard Jacob Pounder couldn’t remember what had happened the night before.
Pounder, 28, of Tabor Street, Burnley, admitted to being drunk and disorderly. He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
Graeme Tindall, prosecuting, said police were called to Ormerod Street in Burnley on December 9 because Pounder was causing a disturbance.
“He was using very colourful language towards members of the public and door staff,” said Mr Tindall.
“Despite being asked to go home he persisted and was arrested.”
Pounder said he had got far too drunk when he went out to celebrate his birthday.
“I can’t remember what happened that night; I just know I woke up in a police cell,” he said.
“I won’t be doing it again.”
