EIGHT fire engines were called to the scene of an extensive blaze at a takeaway last night.
The fire inside Abs Fast Food, on Foundry Hill, Bingley, happened at around 11.30pm.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "This was a fire inside a fast food premise. The fire was on the ground floor of a four-storey building.
"Twenty-five per cent of a building measuring approximately 20 metres x 20 metres was involved.
"Crews used eight breathing apparatus, four hose reels, and positive pressure ventilation fans to extinguish the fire.
"There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is believed to be accidental."
Pictures taken by the T&A today revealed some of the damage caused the fire.
A door at the takeaway on the ground floor of the building was boarded up.
A window was broken and burn damage could be seen on the inside of the takeaways.
Eight fire engines, supporting resources and officers from across the brigade attended.
Amongst the attending stations were Bingley, Shipley, and Keighley as well as a special teams hose layer unit, a command unit, and a light welfare unit.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) also sent resources to the scene, but there were no reports of injuries.
A spokesperson for the YAS said: "Our hazardous response team attended the incident as a precaution but there were no patients."
