A MAN has been jailed after he stole Ferrero Rochers on a thieving spree.

Karl Baker, of Laburnum Grove in Lightcliffe, admitted to six theft offences when his case was heard at Bradford Magistrates Court.

The offences took place at the Morrisons Daily, on Griffe Road in Wyke, and at the Asda, on Towngate, from February 19 to March 6.

On three occasions, the 38-year-old stole Ferrero Rocher Chocolate from the Morrisons.

It was to the value of £105 on February 25, £80 on March 4, and £56 on March 6.

On February 19, Baker stole meat, to the value of £54, and 10 days later it was cheese, gammon, and bacon, worth £105.

The only offence at the Asda, where 24 cans of Dr Pepper were stolen to the value of £30, took place on February 23.

Baker was handed a 12-week custodial sentence on Wednesday, March 13.

Court documents say the offences were "serious" and pointed at his previous convictions and unwillingness to comply within the community as reasons behind the sentence.
