Drivers are facing long delays and standstill traffic on the M621 due to a police incident.
The M621 has been closed both ways due to the ongoing situation at Junction 2 A643 (Elland Road).
One driver told the T&A that he'd been moving at just 4mph for around 25 minutes.
Congestion has been reported before Junction 1 (Beeston/Farnley) in the eastbound direction and Junction 5 (Tunstall Road) in the westbound direction.
In a post on X, National Highways' Yorkshire team said: "Due to ongoing incident being managed by police. Traffic is being diverted off and on via the roundabout causing heavy congestion and delays in the area. Consider alternate routes."
The T&A's traffic partner, INRIX, said drivers are being diverted via the exit and entry slip roads.
