A TWO-CAR crash has caused traffic problems on a road in West Yorkshire.

Emergency services were called to a report of a crash on Thornhills Beck Lane in Brighouse just after 12 noon today.

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service said: "We received an emergency call at 12.25pm today to a report of a collision involving two vehicles on Thornhills Beck Lane in Brighouse.

"Then we received a second call to say no ambulance was required."

The crash has been causing traffic to back up a nearby busy road.

One traffic alert reported: "There is heavy traffic due to accident on A641 Bradford Road both ways from Water Street to Russell Way."

The T&A has also contacted West Yorkshire Police for a comment.
