A POLICE scene is in place after a man's body was discovered on a Bradford street this afternoon (Monday).

The body was discovered on Moore Avenue - the main road connecting Wibsey and Great Horton - just before 3pm today.

Emergency services were scrambled to the scene after the body was found.

Several police cars and an ambulance could be seen in the street this afternoon, along with a police cordon near a house.

A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Police said: "Emergency services were called to Moore Avenue, Bradford, at 2:39pm today following reports of concern for a man’s safety.

"Upon attending a man’s body was discovered in the street.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish what has happened and a scene is currently in place."

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire Ambulance Service added: "I can confirm that ambulance resources attended an incident on Moore Avenue this afternoon."
