Motorists should no longer be in any doubt that they are entering a restricted section of road - after a thick red stripe containing the words 'BUS GATE' was painted on a city centre street.
The eye-catching message has been emblazoned across a section of Hall Ings near its junction with Bridge Street, Bradford.
The recently-introduced bus-only section of Hall Ings prevents general traffic travelling from St George's Hall towards Jacobs Well as the NCP car park, to the left, is being demolished.
The restriction has caused some confusion, perhaps explaining the Council's decision to paint such a prominent message across the road.
Last week, the Telegraph & Argus published footage of a motorist turning into Hall Ings before spotting a yellow bus gate sign. Realising his mistake, the motorist hit the brakes then reversed into the middle of the junction with Bridge Street, with another driver hooting.
The ongoing roadworks scheme is impacting traffic on many city centre roads, including the bottom of Manchester Road, Princes Way and Well Street.
