A BRADFORD popstar has teased what to expect from his upcoming solo album.

Former One Direction star Zayn Malik, who grew up in East Bowling, has wiped clear his Instagram.

All that appears on the page, which has over 50 million followers, is a 45-second clip previewing the new material.

In the clip, he said: “I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being.

“My ambitions, my fears, and for them to have a connection with that.

"And that's why it's so raw, you know, it's just me writing this.

"I didn't want anyone else to be in between me and the music, and the music and the people listening to it."

The video ends with Malik singing: "If I told you I loved you, would you say that it's f***** up."

Since leaving One Direction, the 31-year-old has released three solo albums - 'Mind of Mine', 'Icarus Falls', and 'Nobody is Listening'.

He hit the headlines by singing in Urdu as part of a collaboration with popular Pakistani band Aur earlier this year.

It came after Malik released his only single in 2023 'Love Like This'.
