POLICE have arrested a man on suspicion of drug offences in Bradford - after he tried to escape officers by driving away in a car with a frozen windscreen.
Officers said they arrested the man and another male over the weekend as part of an ongoing Class A drug-dealing probe.
They were detained after police identified further suspects from mobile phone evidence following two initial arrests in Dulverton Grove, Holme Wood, in October last year.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said they attended a property yesterday and the man they were looking to arrest was outside "trying to frantically defrost his car in the cold weather".
The spokesperson added: "After trying to drive away with a frozen windscreen and a short foot chase, the male was detained along with the Class A drugs found in his vehicle, his mobile phone and more than £5,000 in cash.
"The male was arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and conspiring to supply Class A drugs.
"A second suspect found inside the male's home address was also arrested for the same offences.
"The address was searched and other items were seized.
"The suspects will be interviewed."
