A POLICE cordon is in place in a town centre with officers at the scene investigating.
Silver Street, in Halifax has been taped off by West Yorkshire Police today.
The cordon is in place between the central road's junctions with Commercial Street and Central Street.
The Telegraph & Argus visited the scene this afternoon and saw a number of officers guarding the cordon, as well as a Crime Scene Investigation van parked round the corner, on Commercial Street.
A member of the public said an attack had taken place.
Silver Street houses a number of businesses, including several bars.
The Telegraph & Argus has contacted West Yorkshire Police but were told details would not be available until tomorrow.
