A FOOTBALL club says it is sad to see so many "deaf jokes" made under a viral social media post following their 36-0 win.

Farsley Celtic Deaf FC recorded a huge victory at Hall Road Rangers FC on Sunday.

A post on the club's X, formerly Twitter, page went viral attracting over two million interactions.

Sadly many of the comments left under the post were unsavoury.

The club responded by saying: "Sad to see so many poor “deaf” jokes on the reposts… some are actually offensive but even sadder there is literally no new material and complete lack of wit.

"If you are guilty of this please take the time and settle your fine.. £10 will do many thanks."

Farsley Celtic are currently trying to raise £10,000 to help towards a trip to Athens in Greece for the Deaf Champions League taking place this April.
