DRIVERS faced delays after a crash on a main road through a village and near a school.

It happened on Bradford Road (A65), which runs through Menston and connects it with the likes of Guiseley, Otley, and Burley-in-Wharfedale.

It was first reported at 8.27am, according to the AA.

The crash occurred near the road's junction with High Royds Drive, and St. Mary's Menston Catholic Voluntary Academy.

It was causing congestion in both directions but the crash was cleared and traffic was reported to be easing by 9.09am.
