A NEW bar on North Parade could open until 5am if a new late-night drinks licence is granted.

A licensing application has been submitted to Bradford Council to allow 8 North Parade, a vacant former agency office, to open as the latest 'top of town' bar.

The application has been submitted by Gladys Lum.

If approved, the licence would allow the supply of alcohol - and performance of live music indoors or recorded music indoors - on Sundays to Wednesdays from 5pm to 4am, and on Thursdays to Saturdays from 5pm to 5am.

It would also allow food to be served indoors until 4am on Sunday to Wednesday and 5am on Thursday to Saturday.

Over the past decade, North Parade has become home to numerous independent bars and is popular with football fans on Bradford City match days.
