BRADFORD does NOT feature on a list of Britain's top 20 'most depressing' places.

Many towns and cities were shortlisted for the poll - run by scathing reviews site iLiveHere.co.uk.

It is somewhat of an annual tradition - but this year the emphasis changed from locating the 'worst place' to live in the UK to finding the most depressing.

In recent years for the 'worst place' contest, Bradford dropped to 10th (2022 and 2023) in the list from its fourth-place ranking in 2021.

However this year, the city is not on the list at all!

It comes after the Telegraph & Argus highlighted why our great city is quite the opposite of depressing.

We referenced Bradford's 2025 UK City of Culture title, new city centre developments on the way, and its heritage.

No Yorkshire town or city made the list of 'most depressing' places.

"The Cleckhuddersfax golden triangle of Yorkshire grim doesn’t even get a look in," the website said.

Cornwall town Falmouth took the top spot followed by Peterborough, Scotland's Aberdeen and Alloa, and Tiverton in Devon.

Three northern places made the list. Ellesmere Port (7th) and Widnes (14th) are joined by Blackpool (17th) in the top 20.
