There is a large police presence on a quiet residential street in Pudsey this afternoon.
West Yorkshire Police descended on Hammerton Street - close to the Crimbles - around 3pm on Monday, February 5.
Officers could be seen leaving police vehicles when a riot van reportedly arrived at the scene.
The incident was related to a concern for safety, according to a police spokesperson.
A man was detained at the scene.
One resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: "There are loads of police cars on Hammerton Street."
Another said: "It's all kicking off.
"It is a dead end street so usually really quiet, I know all of the neighbours too, it’s not like they all keep to themselves.
"There were about 20-25 police there."
