A POPULAR Bradford garden centre is to host a new fruit and veg stall - run by a father and son.
Richard Porter and his boy will be bringing Porters Fruit and Veg LTD to Tong Garden Centre every weekend.
It comes after the previous occupant The Brighouse Fruit and Veg Shop decided to step down from the stall.
A post on Tong Garden Centre's Facebook page read: "We’re delighted to welcome Porters Fruit and Veg LTD to Tong Garden Centre!
"This lovely family business is owned by Richard Porter and his son, we're sure you'll join us in giving them a great Yorkshire welcome when you see them this weekend.
"Richard and his son will be setting up their stall at the front of our store and will be here every Saturday and Sunday where you can purchase all of their delicious, fresh produce.
"We also wanted to take the time to wish The Brighouse Fruit and Veg Shop, who previously rented this space and decided to step down to focus on their shop, the very best of luck for the future."
Yorkshire Garden Centres, which runs Tong, Tingley, Bingley and Otley Garden Centres, won the Sustainability Award at the 2023 Garden Centre Catering Awards.
